On the Shopify App Store
Conectia runs an affiliate network, and affiliate networks live or die on accurate tracking. Every sale an affiliate drives has to be attributed correctly, whatever platform the merchant happens to use. That is a genuinely hard problem, and it is the one Conectia asked us to solve.
The ChallengeWhere Conectia Started
Conectia needed a reliable way to track affiliate orders across very different store platforms. Their clients run on Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, and bespoke ecommerce and lead-generation systems, and each one records orders differently. Asking every client to wire up manual configuration and tracking was a barrier to onboarding, and a constant source of setup errors.
Our ApproachWhat We Did
Shopify app first
We built the Shopify app first and published it to the Shopify App Store, so Shopify merchants could add affiliate tracking in a few clicks with no manual setup.
Extended to WooCommerce, GA4 and beyond
We then added tracking for WooCommerce and support for existing GA4 payloads, so a client could integrate through the app or a single script, whichever suited their platform, including Magento and custom ecommerce and lead-generation setups.
A real commission engine
We built in flexible commission rules, so Conectia can pay out differently by product type, order value, whether the customer is new, and more, rather than a flat one-size-fits-all rate.
Simple to install, simple to manage
The whole thing was designed to be effortless at both ends: a near-zero-config install for the merchant, and a single, clear place for Conectia to manage tracking and rules across every client.
What Changed
Conectia now has a complete affiliate tracking platform that behaves the same way across Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento and custom systems. It is simple for their clients to install and simple for Conectia to manage, which removes the setup friction that used to slow onboarding down. The Shopify app is live on the Shopify App Store.
